Attendees Operators of the coordinate measuring machine and/or ZEISS CALYPSO who want to use curve and freeform measurement. Prerequisites Several years of experience in metrology and working with ZEISS CALYPSO. Participants have completed ZEISS CALYPSO Basic Training. PC knowledge must be available. Learning Target In this training the application of ZEISS CALYPSO curve as well as ZEISS CALYPSO freeform is explained and practiced. The most important functions of the software packages as well as programming, measuring and evaluation of curves and freeform surfaces are covered. Content • Introduction, theoretical basics of curve and freeform measurement, target values, • Measuring element and inspection characteristic for 2D and 3D curves, input masks, curve representation in the CAD window, tolerances, • Preparation of target values, measurement, deviation, transformations, Data feedback, design, • Description: Curve, Face, Surface, Space Point, Net Point, Plane Point, • Repeat alignment procedures: 3D-fitting, RPS, P6-method, • Description of the extraction procedures: Freeform with space points, freeform with areas, • 3D fitting with free-form surface, definition of a freeform shape with curve, evaluation possibilities in ACIS, color gradient display, protocol: table picture macro, • Practical exercises.
